The South is full of incredible birds, one that I see every day is the Brown Pelican. They will soar above the water, watching for fish near the surface. Then suddenly, they will dive from the sky into the water, capturing their dinner. I love the long format in this painting, and the brilliant colors of the water just off the shore. I have hidden some fish just below the surface. You can sit for hours watching them Sky Dive for their meals.
In all my paintings I have hidden my husband’s and my initials, (J+S) somewhere in the piece. See if you can find them.
